150 North Riverside Drive is a new office tower with a unique structure built along the Chicago River. The unusual site influenced a core-supported building that in turn created exciting lighting opportunities to reinforce this design. The project consisted of three major components – the building exterior lighting, Riverwalk Park, and lobby. The big feature was the 90-foot high lobby enclosed by a glass-fin wall hung from the structure above. The lobby is controlled by a preset dimming system with daylight compensations capabilities, providing a well-balanced environment for any time of the day. This digital wall displays artistic abstractions as well as real data information and has become a main feature of the lobby.
